Jeff Redding and his family became covenant members of Rockdale Community Church in 2004, and he was ordained as an elder in the church in 2008. Jeff grew up in Texas and has degrees from Texas A&M (Gig ‘em Aggies!) and Texas Tech (Guns Up Raiders!). He was an agnostic until the age of 25 when he came to faith in Jesus Christ. A short time later he came to understand and embrace the doctrines of grace.
Jeff and his wife Andrea (Andy) have been married since 1996 and have four children: Walker, Nate, Drew, and Shelby. The Reddings love Georgia, especially the beauty of springtime and fall (which provide glorious hints of the new earth to come). Jeff enjoys reading and discussing books – some of his favorite authors are Tim Keller, R.C. Sproul, Ed Welch, C.J. Sansom, Patrick O’Brian, Wendell Berry, P.D. James, and Stephen King. He also enjoys working in the yard, bird watching, lifting (light) weights, riding his bike (slowly and for short distances), playing Settlers of Catan, and beating losing to his kids in one-on-one basketball.
